If you haven’t heard already, Krysti at YA and Wine has started an amazing book tag: Fight Like a YA Girl! Just as Krysti had mentioned on her blog, it’s important to have examples of women in pop culture who are represented as strong and powerful individuals! Some shining examples of powerful women in books, tv, and movies (whom are my favorite) include:

Wonder Woman|Buffy Summers|Avatar Korra|Jessica Jones|Kamala Khan

And thanks to Krysti, this tag is meant to celebrate some of the many strengths, qualities, and personalities of women in Young Adult fiction. #FightLikeaYAGirl

  1. Awesome tag!! I still hear guys at my high school use the words “fight like a girl” in a negative way and it always annoys and frustrates me so much. I see a lot of my favorite characters in this post too! I love Isabelle, Tessa, Shazi, Kate, Kamala, Alina, Cinder, and Inej. Seeing these strong female characters in YA has also made me feel like I can be whoever I want to be and kick ass to.
