20 Magical Years of Harry Potter

20 years ago today- June 26, 1997- the world was blessed with J.K Rowling‘s debut novel Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Not only has the Harry Potter fandom flourished into a multi-billion-dollar franchise since then, but it has brought together individuals from around the world into a community who share the same love for reading, witchcraft & wizardry, and a young boy’s journey to greatness.

In all honesty, I was a late bloomer. I did not invest myself in the series until after high school; a solid four or five years after the publication of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Nevertheless, I became immersed in the world of Harry Potter and could never in a million years imagine my life without it now.

And it all started with The Boy Who Lived.
